Guest guest
Wow! Even after your insurance company and the school district stepped up, that's a tremendous investment -- we don't have that kind of savings. If we get to that point, I'll contact the FAPT (Family Assessment and Planning Team) which distributes public money for kids at risk of removal from the home. Stormy, I'm so glad this worked out for your daughter. What a blessing! And you're right, when you get to the point where there is no choice, you do whatever you have to to save your child! Guest guest
Steph, we looked at this way. We were saving that money for college, yet she wasn't even able to attend high school for the 3 years prior, so without the intensive treatment there wouldn't have been any way she would have attended college. The money was much better served getting her the true help she needed so that she even would be able to attend college at all, which she now is and thriving at.
