My only contact in that part of the state is a BIL @ Texas Tech. He's your

typical college guy and would have no info. Sorry I can't help.

What happened?

Whoa, , that's horrible!

I can only think of one group that might have the info you need in a hurry.

If you are not already a member, sign up with the Texas Autism Advocacy

Yahoo group. _Texas-Autism-Advocacy : Advocacy issues regarding autism

treatment in Texas_

If you tell the gang at TAA what happened, they will be all over it to

help you find a new child care provider. The moderator, Guppy, is the

most wonderful caring person. She is down here in the Houston area, but if

you tell her what happened when you apply I bet she'll hook you up with all

the folks in your area in a hurry.

Here is a link to the Texas State Admin Code for licensed day cares. _DFPS

es.asp)

Choose chapter 746, and subchapters E,J, and S look very interesting.

I can see a couple of grounds for you to file a complaint against them right

off the bat. Please do, even if you never set foot in the place again.

They need to be on the radar of the state inspectors, especially since the new

owners don't seem to understand the seriousness of their responsibilities.

The person who should have been fired is the one who left a (maybe) 18 year old

alone with that many pre-schoolers.

When you signed up with this day care, they were required by the same

administrative code to hand you brochures telling you about the state code and

where to file complaints. See if you have that. If they didn't give them to

you, that's another ground for complaint.

Good Luck!

today when I picked her up, ugh, okay, so when i picked her up, i went in and

there was this one like maybe 18 yr old girl with around 30 kids...and she says,

are you Paisley's mom? I said, yeah, she says that the other lady left so she

she had to watch all the kids 3 & 4 yr olds and that she called the lady who works

in the office but she wouldn't come help and anyway, this little girl ran so

she had to get her and when she came back this boy was on top of Paisley beating

her face in. So I called the owner because she says she just bought the daycare

and if things aren't right when she's not there to call, and so I did, and she

says she is on it, so then about 15 min later the office lady calls and says she

is sorry that she went over there when the girl called but everything was fine

but both ladies that work in that building and said she didn't..and she said

they fired the girl who was watching the 3 & 4 year olds...so that made me even

madderand she was all, do want to

ask me anything?? ...when I walked in there were sharp wooden things all over

the place and complete chaos and tonight Paisley is really aggressive hitting,

scratching, etc...her face is all red and swollen with scratches all over it...

How is Paisley this morning? I hope she's feeling better. It must have

been terrifying to have another child jump her like that.
