My daughter was also diagnoised with pandas. She take s prozac and respiradone.

Her tics are gone. She takes a very low dose. It seems to have helped a lot.

We live in Lancaster. Before taking the resperidone she did not function.

I wonder if the Risperdone will work on OCD Germ contamination? We start the

Risperdone tonight. How old is your daughter? How did she get diagnosed with

PANDAS? My son just had the Streptozyme test and it was positive. He had strep

right before the OCD started.

My daughter is 9. This started when she was 8. The same way..after strep. She

is my child before ocd on the resperidone.

In addition to the psychiatric meds, are your children also on antibiotics to

treat the underlying infections associated with PANDAS/PANS?

My son has germ contamination fears. He was ok on 10 mg Prozac for a little bit

but we've had to increase it which has helped tremendously. A normal dosage can

b up to 80 mg. I'm afraid u might have given up too soon. He was even extremely

anxious to raise dosage cuz he thought he wld overdose and die. Those fears have

greatly lessened after being on the higher dosage for a few weeks. My other

child takes risperdone for mood w no side effects other than being drowsy in AM.

He takes it before bed.
