Guest guest
Hi all. I greatly appreciate all the help last week regarding my 9 year old son who had suddenly started to confess everything all the time. Using your behavior therapy ideas and after talking to a therapist, I'm happy to say that a week later, we have seen a dramatic decrease in the confessions. In fact, we have not heard any or seen any behavior associated with them in 3 days now. He was supposed to see a new therapist tomorrow for this, but I am canceling that appointment. We have an appointment next month with a doctor who specializes in sensory processing disorder as well as ADHD and OCD so I am waiting until then to take him in. The appointment tomorrow was an emergency appointment because of the severity of his OCD behaviors. I am glad he responded so well to the BT that I was able to implement with him. His anxiety level has dropped dramatically. Thank you all again. You, quite literally, saved my sanity. Hugs, MJ
Guest guest
Oh MJ, that's great! If he did that well with this, then hopefully he'll " pounce " on some of the other therapy for other OC behaviors! Glad you could cancel that one appt too. > > Hi all. > > I greatly appreciate all the help last week regarding my 9 year old son who had suddenly started to confess everything all the time. Guest guest
Wow, MJ, that's such wonderful news! I'm so glad that your son improved so quickly! It's amazing how the right technique can make all the difference. I hope he continues to improve. I bet you feel some relief too! Keep us posted. Guest guest
That is wonderful! Now you know he responds well to CBT/ERP, so when something else, OCD related, pops up you can use it again.
