I have a son (15.5) with pretty severe Tourette's syndrome and also co-morbid anxiety and OCD. His OCD manifests more with how it interacts with his tics than it does ritualistic behaviors, and it's more his obsessive thinking/fixating than it is outwardly obvious behaviors. In his case, he doesn't want to hear certain words (positive or negative) like " NY (too
Guest guest
Thanks so much, Chris. Guest guest
My daughter was successfully treated for her OCD last summer at Memorial Hospital. It was amazing how much she improved and she still remains pretty OCD free after all this time. Before going there she was almost completely disabled by her OCD. Sadly, she's back there getting treated for something that popped up following her return home (something she had all along but it seemed like a small issue and it grew big, sadly). We are glad she's there and know that she is getting top quality care. They treat OCD and other conditions, which is nice. CBT is their therapy of choice. It seems like it takes forever to get in, but it is worth the wait. Feel free to call me directly if you have any questions!
