Hey all, a friend's son (8yrs old) has been suspended for a second

time. Last time, last week, was for picking up a rock and acting like

he was gonna throw it at the principal while he waited in line to go

home, but then put it back down. The called him a day or two ago to

tell him they should have suspended him but did not for playing with a

toy car and pretending it was a gun. Then yesterday they called & told

him they are suspending him because they opened a door that led to the

playground, he tried to run out the door, a teacher grabbed him, and

he either tried or did bite, I cannot remember which. At any rate,

they have told him they have a zero-tolerance policy of suspending

students.

Any thoughts? What about zero-tolerance regarding students with

disabilities?

It's so obvious this school is targeting him, and it really doesn't

make much sense, there's like 1 wk of school left here!
