Hi My name is Henriette and I live in Phoenix AZ. my e mail is cbbchelpinghands@... I have been drinking raw milk for over a year. I leave the cream part on top for my husband, he loves it. I have made the soft cheese from raw cow's and goat's milk. It is such a great feeling of accomplishment. I also love to make yogurt and yogurt cheese. I am planning on widening my horizon by starting to make other cheeses. We just bought an acre and I am dreaming of owning a goat and chickens. We'll see. I am in the winterseason of my life so I am wondering if I can teach this old new tricks. ;*) Henriette One day without prayer makes one weak.

Henriette,

You can go to www.adga.org and find your state's local goat

clubs. They are wonderful groups to get involved with and find good

folks to buy your goats from when you are ready. BTW you need to get

a pair of goats as they are very social and need the company of

another goat to be happy. I know several folks around here who are

deep into their 70s and 80s and still goatkeeping.

What kind of chickens are you thinking of getting? Of the

standard sized, my favorite is Buff Orpington. And, I LOVE the

bantams, especially the Old English Games. Really, pound for pound,

you get a real bargain in the OEGB for the egg production. And, they

have so much personality!!! The Crele is my favorite.
