Guest guest
Have read her story at the OCD Foundation website. Here's an article from Houston about her story, not long. Checked out the OCD Challenge website mentioned (anyone else used?) and thought that some who resist therapy a bit, might like this website and info; plus it's a fellow sufferer doing the talking! An excerpt or two: Liz McIngvale used to wash her hands seven times. She'd turn off the faucet or turn on a light with her foot to keep her hands from being contaminated. She would only wear certain colors because others were contaminated. Liz had a ritual for everything. ...... In the past seven years, Liz became a licensed therapist, and is almost finished with her PhD in social work at the University of Houston. And now she is in control of the OCD rituals that used to control her. http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/health & id=8391445 http://www.ocdchallenge.com/AboutTheProgram/tabid/109/Default.aspx
