Guest guest
Just wondering if this group has any list of good OCD therapists in different areas? We are in South Orange County, CA and tried someone out here who " specializes " in OCD but didn't turn out to be good. It would be great to have a list that parents can use to locate specialists in this field - Lori
Guest guest
I second this idea. It would save countless hours, dollars and our kids' precious time and effort to have a list of therapists who have really shown they can be effective. Mine was listed on the OCD Foundation website. He was very caring with my son and got a good rapport going, but as I said, did not understand what my son needed as far as ERP. If there's any way I could help get a list going, I'd be happy to. Maybe a contact person for each state could step forward and anyone from that state could be referred to them? They could turn it back over to if they left the list until a new person could be found? Just brainstorming some ideas. Rhonda LIST OF OCD SPECIALIASTS?? Just wondering if this group has any list of good OCD therapists in different areas? Guest guest
The OCD Foundation has a search list for therapists. Also their affiliate sites (Chicago, California, etc.) would have resources on their websites. I have started in our LINKS section folders for states and am putting website links in them regarding therapists, but so far only have NC and NJ started, and plan to add as I find them or people may share here. > > I second this idea.
