Guest guest
I don't think you can overdose on inositol, the unused part just goes out with urination (don't quote me on that though). With inositol it's more to be careful that it's not interacting with any other medication that might also be working on serotonin (like an SSRI med) was on 13.5 or so grams daily but got more than that sometimes, so 16 grams too. I don't think 18 grams would have done any harm if we had gone up. This was in middle school and he was a light-weight too (still is at 22). The dose is more related to what is effective than any weight/age, etc. Now - we did increase on the bad days or month and then go back down to our 13.5 dose. Perhaps he just need a boost right now due to stress or the OCD waxing a bit and you can lower by one dose later?? Any med or supplement change recently that might have affected the OCD? Quick thoughts, > > Hi, > > Just wondering what is the highest dose for a 10 yr old, 63 lbs. He is in the autism spectrum, OCD, ADHD, and sensory intergration dysfunction. Right now his OCD is through the roof. He won't even touch his toast to eat- he has to use a fork to hold it. He also won't touch other things like door knobs and uses his shirt or napkins all the time. He has many issues at school, for example got

Guest guest
Thanks No, he is not on any meds or SSRIs for OCD so no interactions is a concern- he used to be on Zoloft but had bad reaction so he was taken off of it and now nothing is prescribed to address the OCD. His other meds he is on aren't a concern for interactions. He is having a harder time with his OCD which seems to be his pattern during the winter when he has such cracking of his hands from the dryness and more sensory issues from the different clothes he wears due to the colder weather (another area he has difficulty in is regulating his temperature so he is often too hot or cold, very inconsistent). I did increase inositol to 5 grams in morning, 6 grams in afternoon, and 5 grams at night for a total of 16 grams daily, but he is only 63 lbs so I wanted to be sure it wasn't going to be too much, but his OCD is really through the roof right now and very frustrating for everyone! > > > > Hi, > > > > Just wondering what is the highest dose for a 10 yr old, 63 lbs.
