Guest guest
I would just like to remind folks that if they are registered democrats, in some states they can switch at the polls and vote for Ron in the primary as in TN. Also early voting is in full swing in TN. I went down to the polls to ask about switching parties for the primary and pleasantly discovered I could vote yesterday. Guest guest
I was under the impression that presidential politicing was permitted on this board, but ONLY as it directly relates to raw dairy, and I fail to see ANY raw milk connection in the message below. It looks to me to be simply info on how to vote for Ron , without regard for his position on raw milk or any other issue for that matter. Guest guest
U.S. presidential candidate Ron (R-Texas) has introduced legislation (HR 4077) that would allow the transportation and sale of raw milk and raw milk products. His bill would remove an unconstitutional restraint on farmers who wish to sell these products, and people who wish to consume them.Source (http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2007/12/6/u-s-presidential-candidate-most-in-favor-of-raw-milk.aspx)Terri in SCBob Hayles wrote: I was under the impression that presidential politicing was permittedon this board, but ONLY as it directly relates to raw dairy, and Ifail to see ANY raw milk connection in the message below. Guest guest
The only reason I am allowing discussion about Ron is because he is the only candidate that has specifically come out in support of raw milk. He has even written letters specifying how he supports it. But yes, I guess, whenever people post, they should reference his support of raw milk. Guest guest
, yes, Ron is the only one who has specifically addressed raw milk, but others, to a greater or lesser degree, are for more freedoms and less intrusive government in general. Without naming names, as that would be forbidden politicing, I will say that I would prefer someone who will stay out of my wallet and other personal choices, as well as staying out of my nutritional choices, and I haven't heard support the fair tax or other libertarian positions. While raw dairy IS important, it's not the ONLY thing to consider when choosing a candidate to support. Guest guest
Hey Bob, Well, then yes, please tell us who they are. I will allow that. I mean if we can find one better suited for freedoms like raw dairy, I would be all for hearing about it. Is someone better on raw milk and nutritional issues than Ron ? Seriously, I want and need to know about them. I have a lot of trouble with Mr. 's foreign policy, but I love his stance on raw milk. Guest guest
I've been watching Ron for years. He is the only strict Constructionist we have, and if you vote for anyone other than he, you will just get more of what you already have....big government (and getting bigger all the time), more regulation, more intrusion, less security. He would like to see us out of the UN which would also mean that we ignore their ridiculous draconian CODEX regs and the 'rights' that they believe all people are entitled to, which are going to limit our freedoms even further. He believes, like the Founders, that the states should run their own business (and that YOU are the best person to run your business, too) and that the Feds should limit themselves to protecting the country and the other few things allowed by the Constitution. Far less taxes, smaller government, more personal freedom including nutritional choices. The man who treated me for a serious disease is an alternative person and he, of all people, told me that Ron is a doctor so he must be for Big Pharma. Nothing could be further from the truth. Remember that he is a libertarian at heart. He wants government out of your life as much as practicable. The 'issues' tab on his website, ronpaul2008.com, will give you a much better idea of what he believes, and has been practicing faithfully, BTW, for his entire tenure in public office. I think he is the best of all worlds, and the only candidate who will help with not only raw milk but all other intrusion and regulation as to our choices. As citizens and farmers, we have many difficult issues facing us, of which the availability of raw milk is just one. And did you know he has never voted to raise tazes? =) Kathy
Guest guest
Well said Kathy, I too have been watching and supporting the good Doctor for many years. Simply stated, he wants us to have the constitutionally limited government our founders gave us to protect our God given rights. My response to another post on this thread: I like Ron's position on raw milk, but I absolutely love his foreign policy. Here is how I like to put it: Nothing that has happened or that can happen over there is worth the life of my child or grandchild; therefore, by extension, it is not worth the life of anyone's child. We should use our military to defend our country, just as our founders envisioned...not for nation building and protecting cooperate interests. In the words of Jefferson, " Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations-- entangling alliances with none... Even if you believe the official story regarding 9/11, we were not attacked by a COUNTRY. Dr. 's answer was to use constitutionally authorized Letters of Marque to go after those responsible instead of supporting the military /industrial/ banker complex by going to war. BTW even more than his foreign policy, I love his monetary policy. Those unconstitutional wars would end almost immediately if we had to pay as we go instead of passing the bill to our progeny. Mike Eck PS: I am a veteran and I, unlike many in government and military now-a-days, remember that I took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution. > > I've been watching Ron for years.
