Guest guest
Does anyone have any info on therapists in South Florida. Broward county. My son is suffering Terribly with OCD worsened by PANS and I don't Have a good therapist. I have Bcbs and there r no Child PhDs on it that do ERP. His therapist now Doesn't take my insurance anymore and from what I read here it doesn't sound like she's doing it Right anyway. She has helped but I need someone More knowledgeable. My son is 6. Guest guest
University of Southern Florida in St Pete has the Rothman Center for pediatric neuro psyc issues ( Dr Storch runs it) and they are excellent. Not sure how far that is from you but they do both regualr therapy and intensive outpatient for short periods of time. I know they currently have an ultrashort IOP study going on that you can do for free.

Guest guest
I had success finding a dr. by searching the OCD Foundation website. You might give that a try, as I think those drs. listed should know proper CBT/ERP treatments. Here is a link to the search page - just enter a zip code for your area. http://www.ocfoundation.org/findproviders.aspx Good luck! Dot > > Does anyone have any info on therapists in > South Florida. Guest guest
Just wanted to mention that the list of docs on the ocfoundation website are not recommended by anyone. It is just a listing, any doctor can put their name on it. One would expect that anyone listing themselves believes they know how to treat OCD, but this is not a guarantee that they actually do, or that they do ERP. So, it is important that you ask if they do ERP based CBT, and clarify their experience and training. There is a list of questions to ask prospective doctors, I believe on the ocfoundation website, and perhaps in our files. Barb > > > > Does anyone have any info on therapists in > > South Florida. Guest guest
We chose a LISW from the OCF list who had been to BTTI. He did not know how to do ERP effectively. Just sayin - I agree with Barb!
