Gosh Pam, so he's reaching that teenage independence, pull away from parents,

less needy age??!!! So long as you're seeing less OCD and he doesn't seem to be

down (sad, sullen...) then I say, YES, maybe his OCD is actually doing better

too! Gee, what will you do with yourself and all the worry-free,

son-don't-need-me time?! :)

single mom, 3 sons

(as in " been there " )

teenagers. So, anyone out there who can relate, please I'd love to hear from

you. Do you or have you noticed a difference with the OCD and anxiety when your

child began the teen years.? I for sure have. I just can't put the two together,

meaning the typical things that teenagers say and do and the OCD/anxiety that is

somehow (I think) being buried or pushed aside amidst the changes and feelings

that my son is experiencing. I can't tell if he actually curing himself or

overcoming his ocd ON HIS OWN.! I feel like I just got turned around 360 degrees

and maybe I'm the one who can't cope. What is going on!!!!! and is this normal?

gosh, am I making any sense? I think my kid doesn't need me anymore. He's

pulling away, and I have to accept it.Please tell me I'm not the only one going

through this.

We find our son hides his OCD and anxiety better. It comes out in frustration

and anger more now. He uses the term " stressed " more so than anxious.

Here it's more of a dance. . .He pushes us away, then when he can't do something

alone, he gets annoyed that we aren't helping him.

I have a difficult time sometimes knowing what is OCD and what is teen behavior.

I think it's a combination here, all twisted up together, so it complicates it.
