I had posted a while back that my son, at the time 6, suddenly starting having

bad thought OCD/anxiety in December 2011. Didn't think he had strep at the time

so Pandas wasn't really entertained. Did ERP therapy and had my son back within

a short amount of time (Feb 2012).

He started acting strange and having OCD thoughts again in April, ended up he

had strep--took 2 rounds of heavy duty antibotics to get rid of it. Once he was

on the medication, his OCD magically went away...

Got me thinking. So he was OCD free again. He suddenly starting having

tantrums and just acting really defiant and off last week. Told me he was

having OCD again. Bring him to the dr last week, he had a " raging " ear

infection. Back on antibotics, now he is my sweet child again and he told me his

OCD is gone again.

His current ped doesn't think he has pandas and is really fighting me about

testing...

but I consider you the experts. There has to be something about infection and

his behavior. If everytime he gets antibotics in his system his behavior

changes and he tells me his OCD is gone... there has to a link??!!??

Am I on to something here? Where do I go with this, any thoughts? A new ped

doctor who is more open to Pandas? Do they have Panda specialists?

Any help would be apprecaited!

Thanks!

(mother to 7 year old with bad thought OCD)
