Guest guest
Dear friends, Please join me for the OCD Workshops for Parents series! These monthly workshops bring together parents of children with OCD and feature speakers who will cover a variety of topics including managing symptoms at school, understanding exposure with response prevention, effective medications, and much more. Please visit us online at www.childmind.org to see all upcoming workshops. The series has really taken off and we are excited to offer our third workshop on Tuesday, December 6 - OCD & The Holidays: How to Keep Your Child Merry Tuesday, December 6, 2011 6:00PM – 7:30PM Child Mind Institute and Fascitelli Boardroom 445 Park Avenue (entrance on 56th St) New York, NY 10022 This event is free and open to the public. Register Now! For many, the holidays are a time of excitement and joy; however, for a child with OCD the holidays can present a unique set of challenges that actually exacerbate their anxiety. This workshop will help parents recognize holiday-oriented OCD triggers and introduces methods for helping your child cope during this uniquely stressful time. You can then bring this exciting information to your schools, doctors, family members, and other concerned people in your life to ensure that the holiday season is merry for all. We look forward to seeing you on December 6th! All my best, Jerry Bubrick, PhD Senior Director, Anxiety & Mood Disorders Center Director, Intensive Pediatric OCD Program Child Mind Institute
