Guest guest
Okay, now that I know we need to pursue a diagnosis for our daughter....do you all have any pointers on what I can do to prepare for the appointment? I am nervous about it, because my younger daughter who has obvious Autism was a nightmare to get diagnosed because of the whole affectionate thing...it was like pulling teeth to get the doctor to finally diagnose her...as he put it, she has it, but you don't want to give her that label because it is like a life sentence, etc, etc. Needless to say, we will not go back to that doctor LOL! Anyway, now that we suspect our older daughter has it and is more subtle in her symptoms....I worry that we are going to start the whole process over again...ugh. I was pretty well armed when we took our younger daughter in and I even took photos of her doing certain things, lists, and everything I could think of.....but I would love any tips to help the process go more smoothly. I apologize for asking so many questions on here....you guys are just a wealth of knowledge!!! Gwen
