We keep our ds 12 off all artificial coloring.  It makes a big enough difference

in his behavior that he reads the labels and stays away from them himself.  He

says it makes him feel weird.................................Larkellen

Do you notice that your child is affected at all by food dyes and preservatives?

I see a big difference in my son when he is exposed to MSG and certainly to red

dye, which we have avoided for several years. With MSG he tends to get really

over the top emotional and fixated on everything having to be the way he needs

it to be. Fortunately we are able to catch these things most of the time, but

still have had a few slip throughs. Is anyone else watching their child's diet

for this type of thing?

I recently wrote about our experience with red dye on my hub pages.

http://throughmylens.hubpages.com/hub/Seeing-Red I'm just curious about how

other kids are affected by food additives.

First day of second grade for my son. This morning he was quite nervous and we

went through the " I'm going to throw up " thing several times. Fingers crossed

that he has a good day!
