Try using olive oil for all of those things you've been using the butter for. Maybe you are just sensitive to oil?benyokohama wrote: hey all, i am a full proponent of raw dairy. i dont drink any milk (raw or pasteurized) and consume little to no milk products. however, i recently started making my own butter from a farmer friend's raw cream. 100% Jerseys btw. love it, tastes great. i dont eat bread so the only real application i have for my wonderful butter is in finishing off frying a steak, chicken, etc. in

the pan, yknow? delicious. but heres the thing: i would say about 75% of the time i do this, about 20 min after eating i have to admit I DO have some stomach upset. no pains as in stomach ache, but i do have a kind of...lose stool situation. any info to help me? thanks so much. i wanna keep eating my delicious, healthful butter, but alas it may just not be good for me...

Or coconut oil. It is better for you and

can handle higher heat than olive oil can. My nutritionist told me that olive

oil should be eaten unheated, it doesn’t handle heat very well and is

better for you unheated. Chrissie

I had a chart I used to give to people on the smoking heats of oils. I lost the link. Anybody have it?

Try Ghee. For any application where you are heating butter in frying,

it's going to work a heck of a lot better than just using butter. It

may or may not cause gastric distress.

Should be available at any good health food type store that carries

food. Or, if you have any folks from India? stores catering to them

will also carry it.

If you are making your own butter I would think you would be able to make your own ghee. Look it up on google. But first you need to narrow down if it is the butter that is bothering you or just the added oil.Good Luck"Donna R. Myers-Raybon" wrote: Try Ghee.
