Guest guest
My e-mail is soilfertility@... I drink raw milk although it is not legal to sell or give away raw milk where I live. I own 1/4 of a cow in order to drink raw milk. My interest in raw milk comes from my interest in nutrition. As a result of that interest, I came to understand that all foods, including milk, vary in nutritional value. As Francis Pottenger, Jr. demonstrated in his cat experiment, feeding cats a completely raw diet, including raw milk, does not guarantee good health for the cats. I have the book, " Pottenger's Cats " as well as " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration " by Weston Price. In order to understand how agronomic factors affect the nutritional value of food, I purchased four volumes of " The Albrecht Papers " by Albrecht and " Soil Grass and Cancer " by Andre Voisin. In order to understand what was in these books, I purchased the " Acres, U.S.A. Primer " as I have no background in farming. To learn about pasture management, I purchased " Grass Productivity " by Andre Voisin. If we hope to get results comparable to what Weston Price obtained in his experiments, in particular the experiment on the 27 mission children, we will need to produce food, including raw milk, with a similar nutritional value to the food Price used in his experiments. Agronomic methods have changed since then with the object of increasing yield. Evidence from what I have read suggests the increased yield has been obtained at the expense of nutritional value. As a result of the evidence that I have studied, I am now more concerned with what isn't in our food, rather than what is. Connect with friends from any web browser - no download required.
