My son is 8 years old with OCD. He is taking 12grams of inositol which was recommended by his Psychiatrist. He still has some OCD intrusive thoughts but I would say is 90% better and is happy again. He also has ADHD. We have tried CBT for this. We are now at a point where we want to try medication. His Pediatrician is starting him on 5mg of Adderall XR for 2 weeks then increase to 10mg. I have read so many posts of how adderall can make his OCD thoughts return. I was wondering if anyone has had good luck treating both? Please give me some good news!! Guest guest
My son has been on Prozac and Adderall XR 30 mg. for 3 years. Does not seem to make OCD worse, as far as I can tell. It all works together for him. when he is anxious, he can't concentrate which increases his anxiety and OCD. When he can't focus and organize his thoughts, that increases his anxiety and OCD.I know with both my dd and ds if they don't take their Adderall, they are totally wiped out and the day is shot. in WI-55 Roy-17 ocd, depression, anxiety, add. 504 in school Prozac 50 mg., Busbar 30 mg., adderall xr 30 mg. dd-24 anxiety, add. zoloft, adderall 30 mg. > > > DS 13 has both OCD and ADHD. Guest guest
I have to say that posts like these show what a benefit belonging to this list can be. Who better to get such advice from than other parents of children with similar experiences?! OCD and ADHD > > Hi, > > I was wondering if anyone has had a good outcome in treating OCD and ADHD?
