MODERATORS NEEDED FOR OUR GROUP

We are appreciative that Becky Reynolds has joined our moderator team, but we

are hoping to recruit one or two more members. Many hands make light work, and

all that. So...

If you have found our group helpful and would like to " pay it forward " by giving

some of your time to assist others, this is the main prerequisite for being a

moderator in our group.

Ideally you are compassionate and welcoming and have " on the job " experience

with being a parent of a child with OCD. Having knowledge of the recommended

treatment protocols for OCD is of course best, but no particular expertise is

expected - we leave that to our professional experts! It is important, however,

that you not feel there is only one way that is best for treating OCD, as our

population is varied and situations diverse.

Duties include - approving new members (screening email requests), welcoming

newcomers with a reply to their first post, and tracking posts in general - to

see that everyone gets a reply, and that threads of posts are relevant to OCD

and it's spectrum disorders. No one person is responsible for all of these

duties. We hope to add 2 to 3 new moderators to share all of this. The time

commitment is whatever time you can give, and it is understood that one's

ability to give will vary.
