Guest guest
In general, if it's been explained clearly how treatment works, and the child still refuses to try things that can help treat their OCD/anxiety, is it recommended to force them to do it? Kind of like making them take yucky medicine, even if they don't want to, because we are the parent and we know what's best for them? I know it's common given a childs " in the now " nature, to just want to escape from it, and it's harder for them to see that in order to get " long term relief " you have to do things that can be extremely challenging and seem to make it worse before it gets better.
