Guest guest
I have tried to contact who posted (back in Feb.'02) her concerns (fear!) about her peripheral neuropathy and the connection to her implants. I have this same diagnosis/fear--is there anyone else in this group who has this same issue? I would love to hear from you. I need to learn; I need support; I AM AFRAID. Thank you in advance for anything you can share...K
Guest guest
Hi , I do think that peripheral neuropathy is an issue for some of us. I myself have not had a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, but have looked into it and the symptoms, and I do believe I have had symptoms of it. However, since explant these symptoms have dissipated and disappeared for the most part. I urge you to seek assistance from The Neuropathy Association. They have much infomation that is useful....here is the link: http://www.neuropathy.org/ Just remember that I think it is possible to be healed of some of these issues. Always have hope, and do not give in to the fear, because I have hope that we can all get better. Guest guest
The peripheral neuropathy is probably due to silica in the myelin sheaths. It usually begins in the upper extremities on the side with more leakage and or rupture. It can progress to the lower extremities. It usually begins as sensory but can progress to motor neuropathy. It is also caused by B12 deficiency so B12 supplementation is recommended with sensory symptoms. Nerve compression symptoms are common as well in the upper extremities as silicone in the lymphatic system causes swelling of the extremities and predisposes for compression of the median nerve at the wrist and ulnar nerve at the wrist and elbow. Nerve conduction tests can differentiate this from brachial plexus problems. Over 80% of the women also have dizziness which is probably a neuropathy of cranial nerve 8. Symptoms usually resolve with explantation and detoxification. Guest guest
I'm afraid that peripheral neuropathy is one of our common problems . . . However, it's progress can slow, if not stop when implants are removed if you get serious about detoxing. I don't know of any " cure " for it . . . if anyone knows, please let me know! For me it means decreased skin sensation in my hands and feet, while at the same time producing pain in the deep tissues. The degree of pain varies, depending on my activities and amount of sleep I get. Massage helps manage the pain. It doesn't stop me from doing anything I want to do. This is the only life I have to life, and nothing (I repeat nothing) is going to keep me from living it to the greatest extent possible! Guest guest
I wish I would have responded sooner, gosh I have not been on here much lately, been busy and having some other issues too, I can tell you that if you do infact have true neuropathy, I don't know how to completely make it go away, other than to try different things, and see if it gets better over time. I have found that I had many of the symptoms of neuropathy but never was diagnosed with it as of yet, and most of the symptoms have been gradually going away since my explant in December of 2000. I only had saline implants in me for 18 months but i was deathly ill and nearly suicidal. While I still have issues with some pain and some rare dizziness it is nothing like it was once so I do believe that you can recover. How long ago was your explant and what kind of implants did you have? Have you tried detoxing and cleansing fasts., supplements, etc etc... these can all be helpful though slow and frustrating at times. I hope that you can get well and relief of your symptoms they are so frustrating and I feel so badly for all of us that have had to suffer this disease. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing.
