Doctor's Appointment coming up

My 11 year old daughter (OCD, ADD, SPD, but probably all related to the OCD) is

due for a check-up on Friday and will be getting three immunizations. I know

better than to tell her about this ahead of time because it’s all she will

think about. On the one hand I feel a little guilty for not preparing her. I

kind of feel like I’m leading a lamb to the slaughter. Luckily, we are

leaving for vacation later that day so hopefully she’ll get over the

pain/shock fairly quickly. I’m doing the right thing, aren’t I?
