Guest guest
Could be because school is out so there is Less stress... Maybe? I've noticed an increase over the past few months, and did last year at this time. But, if this year is like last, summer will be a time of less symptoms. > > Normal? Guest guest
It could also be related to less infections in The summer if the OCD is pandas or pans related. Guest guest
For my son, any transition time we see an increase of symptoms (change of seasons, change of quarter/semester, beg/end of school year, any break before and after, weekends. Seasonal changes makes sense with the light changes and 4 season effect, in WI here. Also, I read one time that the brain has to reorganize itself with change. It is prob. alot more scientific than that but it makes sense to me that if the brain is sensitive anyway with OCD/anxiety, there will be increase in symptoms. Sometimes it helps my son if we celebrate the change like if he finishes a semester or the beg. of one to put a more pos. spin on it. > > Hello, > > Have any of you noticed an increase in behaviors/ symptoms at different times of the year? Guest guest
Yes, we experience similar. Seasonal change impacts, increase in light seems to be the cause. Since sunlight increases serotonin, maybe it's like adjusting to a dose increase of med. So, by summer it levels off and has positive benefit.
