Hi we just found out that our 11yr old daughter is backed up. The aides

were telling me she was really gassy. So I took her to the doctor. They

did an exray and this comfirmed it. Aparently she is pretty backed up

and they said there is some old stuff in there. I felt horrible that

she had been feeling this and I did not know it. Does anyone have any

tips with this? We are trying to do things with natural products, and

the items the doctor told us to give her which include Benefiber and

Miralax (just switched over to fletchers). I would hate to traumatize

her by doing it in the hopital there way.

Thanks

I'm glad to hear you stopped the Miralax, but I would skip the

Fletcher's as well. Those types of laxatives do much more harm than

good. Are you using the Benefiber powder? That is the best choice

since the caplets, tablets and chewables have tons of chemicals and

undesirable ingredients. The powder is fine, though. Increasing

magnesium and vitamin C are good natural ways to move things along

normally, but since she needs some extra help to remove the old fecal

material I would use something with a little more ooomph right now

such as Oxypowder, which contains 3 forms of magnesium which

oxygenate the colon, plus other natural activators and enhancers.
