Thanks for posting these links -- they look very interesting and I'm going to

view them later today...But I wanted to do a quick reply to congratulate you on

your son's weight gain -- that's wonderful news! (my heart actually fluttered

for you when I read this post!)

I ran across today online........But first, more good news.......my son gained

another pound, so he's up 3 lbs. in the past week, I am so thrilled!!!

First is an article about NIH researchers identifying an " OCD Risk Gene. "

This link is to a presentation by 2 doctors about DBS surgery (Deep Brain

Stimulation), commonly used for Parkinson's and other movement disorders, but

now also being used for OCD and Tourette's. There is one part where the doctor

describes what life was like for an adult OCD sufferer prior to the surgery, it

is pretty mind-boggling and then amazing that this surgery has totally turned

her life around
