Guest guest
Well.........after 2 weeks of fighting this thing 24/7, I can finally exhale!! Thankfully the denial of coverage for my son was overturned! I am beyond thrilled, but unfortunately we are not out of the woods by any means. Once a denial takes place, despite the fact that this one was completely unfounded and bogus, Blue Cross will most likely keep trying to deny moving forward. However, they now have in their possession all of my sons medical records as well as video clips, photos, etc. that I submitted along with a gazillion emails that point out their negligence and carelessness in this case. Of course they will never admit to that, but prior to this whole situation they had no records or documentation to refer to. Pretty hard to believe, but true. The moral to this story......never, ever take a denial of coverage for face value. Read every word of the letter 10 times over to make sure you clearly understand what they are stating for the denial reasons and criteria. The majority of the time insurance companies take a roll of the dice and figure most people won't pay attention to the verbage or pursue anything, and unfortunately they are right. Okay, now to prepare for the next battle.......school funding from our district!
