Guest guest
My 7-year-old has OCD and ADHD. One of his anxieties concerns taking medicine. He says he can taste it (even if it's a pill) and won't give in. We recently switched to a new ADHD pill because we couldn't afford the name-brand version. He won't take it. I try to reason with him, but rational thinking doesn't work. He's not open to any of the techniques I've found on websites describing how to get your child to take a pill. Are there any tricks that have worked for you? I'm at the end of my rope, and I've just yelled at him because I'm so frustrated. I know that was the wrong thing to do, but I'm just so despondent.
