Guest guest
I used to get my raw milk from Whole Foods in Glendale, CA. They were charging 7.99 a half gallon. (over 16.00 a gallon after taxes) This is Organic Pastures milk. I just can't justify that much. I called Organic Pastures and they got me in touch with a local guy who gets deliveries directly from the company. It's not ideal as the milk is now 11.00 a gallon, but I'm willing to pay that much. I thought that the farmers were getting a heafty break by not selling their milk to the agri-pimps where they get paid a pittance for pooling the milk for paseurization. Selling directly should make it much more profitable for the farmers even at store rates. Is there another aspect I'm missing?
