Guest guest
Hi! I'm new here too. My daughter had ADHD and some oppositional/defiant problems. I started giving her cod liver oil after reading Megson's article on the WAP website, and near the same time started giving her raw milk. She is better than normal now, she's thriving! My kids love homemade sauerkraut. It especially hits the spot when you've got a sore throat. I have the book " Wild Fermentation " and the kimchi recipe in there is delicious! We eat it over salad with sesame oil. My daughter also likes the beet sauerkraut - same recipe as regular sauerkraut but shredded beets added. Umeboshi are another big hit with the kids as they love anything sour. Nice to meet you! When > my youngest son was 2, he was diagnosed with Austism Spectrum > Disorder (ASD). .... Guest guest
Sheryl, Welcome to the list! > I'm also finding it hard to implement some > of the changes with my older children. They DO NOT LIKE EATING > LIVER, and they don't care much for fermented foods. I don't have children but this sounds like my SO. I mix liver into ground beef for hamburgers, meatloaf, tacos, etc. I haven't gotten him to eat it plain much, although I put diced chicken liver and onions on top of his chicken salad (with diced veggies) last week and he thought it was great! (Of course, then he asked what it was and I stupidly told him and he refused to eat anymore! Augh!) So far the best method for me has been trying to replace or enhance existing dietary items with better ones, as opposed to introducing new ones. Good Luck! -Lana P.S. Cilantro pesto has proven to be extremely helpful for heavy metal detox.
