Guest guest
Am I the only one who gets thick yogurt out of raw goat milk? I heat it to 100, use 7 Stars Dairy plain whole milk yogurt as a starter, and then let it sit for 24 hours in my yogourmet yogurt maker. it is way thicker than any yogurt i ever made with cows milk (although i never tried raw cows milk) or pasturized goat milk (which was extremely runny). Every list i'm on, people say their yogurt is runny, and mine is almost as thick as sour cream! --------------------------------- DSL Something to write home about. I've never made goat yoghurt, but when it comes to cow yoghurt, even when I make it from the very freshest raw dairy, meaning there's very little in the way of competing organisms, it's never been as thick as when I make it from cooked dairy. -
