It's not pancreatin. Pancreatin is an extract or concentrate of pancreatin enzymes, usually from cows or pigs. OmegaZyme is basically a mixture of a whole bunch of different non-pancreatin enzymes. Here's the list of ingredients for the powder. Proprietary N-zimes™ Blend 500 mg Protease Blend 65,000 HUT Bromelain 200,000 FCCPU Papain 250,000 FCCPU Lipase 3,000 FCCLU Amylase 20,000 DU Glucoamylase 25.8 AGU Malt Diastase 168 DP Invertase 56 SU Lactase 750 ALU Alpha-Galactosidase 438 GaLU Cellulase 1,500 CU Pectinase 14 endo-PG Xylanase 500 XU CereCalase™ 100 MU Soluble Extract of Rice Bran 400 mg It takes something of an everything-and-the-kitchen-sink approach, as you can see, but I'd be very dubious about sprinkling potent enzymes directly on your food where your teeth and the tissues of your mouth and throat will be exposed to them. Also, there's no indication what kind of lipases and proteases (not to mention other enzymes) are actually included. Pancreatin lipase, for example, is one thing, but plant-based lipases are another thing entirely. I get great results from pancreatin but have had terrible experience with plant-based lipase. Also, OmegaZyme has a lot of stuff you won't need with every meal -- if ever -- and some things which are just plain dubious no matter what, like the rice bran extract. I'd really recommend trying a good pancreatin instead of this. -

Yes, but I don't remember which ones are bovine. All else being equal (which admittedly it's not) I'd think porcine pancreatin would be superior, though, as our digestive systems are much more like those of pigs than those of cows. -
