I *might* be misunderstanding this proposed WA Senate Bill 6284, but it looks to me on first reading as if by removing the position of "producer dealer", that they are targeting farmers who are licensed to sell Grade A retail raw milk from being on this committee that exists to advise the head of Food Safety. Actually, not just RAW milk farmstead producers, but also this would exclude ANY farmstead producer of fluid milk and therefore pasteurized farmstead producer-dealers would also be excluded. Leaving it potentially a committee of producers under contract to a mega processor such as Darigold. There is a public meeting on January 17 in Olympia.
