Hi all, I am looking for suggestions in how to talk to my 15 y/o daughter and/or

what to say to her...also how to respond to her. She is on meds (zoloft and

klonopin) and sees a therapist. She has however not seen her therapist for a #

of weeks lately. She has an appt coming up at the end of this month. Anyway, I

have read Brain Lock and have tried to use some suggestions out of it with her

but she keeps blocking them. When she is in the middle of one of her rituals, I

have gently tried to get her to use the 4 R's, just beginning with the first one

of relabeling. My roadblock is that she just does not want to do this. She

complains about how OCD has ruined her life, etc but when it comes to fighting

back against the OCD she does not want to do it. She always says it is too hard!

do we just let her suffer through this and eventually she will have to learn to

fight back or do we continue to pressure her? Does anyone have any experience

either way and suggestions?? I am not looking forward to another year of HS as

her OCD seemed much worse during the school year and it really consumed all of

our lives to the point where we were all stressed out!!

Thanks for any advice, big or small!!
