Maybe someone has advice, i am really at the end of my rope.. diagnosed

around 4...my sons ocd haas been a whirlwind of different things,

mostly bad thoughts, transferring from one to the next. I was able to

keep his life functional with Inositol until hewas 10 and had brain

surgery for Chiari 1 malformation. He then went off the deep end. He

spent the last 2 years on prozac and abilify and was yet again

" functional " . Puberty hit and his ocd went thru the roof. He is

obsessed with animals. I totally understnd because i was there myself

maany times. We definately do not have a lack of amimals in my house

but all day long all he does is beg for more, beg to go to pet store,

look up video, and insist he will feel better if he just gets one more.

By the way he is also in therapy in and out of school. Last week he was

beggig God to take him so he dsnt hve ocd nymore:( We switched him to

depakote and celexa. Now he is going to bathroom every period at school

to text me that hes falling asleep! Does anyone have any experience

with these meds? Im hoping its a temporary side effect. Oh, and to top

things off hes extremely overweight from all the meds and lack of

excersise from limits due to brain defect. Help! Sorry, i think i just

needed to vent to people who get it!

Jodi(ocd, anxiety attacks, son w ocd, tics, depression, anxiety!,)
