Does anyones else's Kefir develope a slightly fuzzy cream colored layer over the top after 2 days of fermentation? What is that stuff? This is raw milk kefir. Thanks! This is raw milk kefir. > > Thanks! > Holly Whittemore I get that sometimes, especially when I shake the jar hard (after taking out the grains) and let it sit out for a while to get up to room temp (because drinking cold milk/kefir is a crime against gourmet living)... The only word I know for it is " yes!!!!!!!! " fuzzy and creamy--what more can anyone ask for?!?!?!?!?!?!
