I remember after the big quake in Indonesia a few years ago, the people were calling for the Americans to come and help them. These were the same people who not long before were shouting their hatred for us. Same in other parts of the world. They hate us until something bad happens and they expect Uncle Sugar to come in with the big choppers and save them.

I like how this works. After Gulf War I, the west got yelled at for not backing the people trying to overthrow Saddam. Then we invade for Gulf War II and no one in Iraw wants us there, nor do any of the other countries in the region.
