Guest guest
First off, commando missions do often fail. This one in particular was very stupid and ill conceived. It had to have been designed by some foreign office flunky and the poor SAS guys had to go along. At least in the US military troops can legally choose not to follow and order, even though it would probably mean the end of their career. This team doesn't even seem to have had any backup or rescue force. Even so, sending more SAS into that situation would likely not end well. Secondly, this should show that it would be ridiculous to send in US troops. I suppose governments could recognize the rebels as the legitimate power as they asked in this case, however that would open a whole big can of worms for the other nations facing rebellions. Even if that happened, it is no guarantee that some elements of the rebels still wouldn't attack foreign troops. In a message dated 3/5/2011 7:55:09 P.M.
