Guest guest
Do you know who carries the cheapest product? Appears that the advantage to buying at Target would be not having to pay for shipping. One of the reasons I haven't bought a convection oven is because I usual follow recipes and it seems like the cooking time will mess up the end result. How do you calculate for the difference in cooking times using a standard recipe? Thanks, jafa " S. Pritchard " <vspritchard@...> wrote: You can buy the turbo convection oven from mercola.com, amazon.com and target.com. I think Target carries the same one as dr. mercola. mercola has the best description with amazon and target given point form benefits. Guest guest
Hi Jafa: Amazon carries the Supentown turbo oven and it is $59 + $19 for shipping as it comes via an amazon partner. Target's which is a slightly different model is about $89. Dr. Mercola's which by the pictures looks like the Target model is $89.00 and there is shipping on top. These oven packed up are about 20 lbs so shipping can be pricey. When you are cooking with a convection oven, usually you need a cookbook to help you re-estimate the timing. It really is easy peasy! Guest guest
Thanks, Do you mean a convection oven cookbook that says how to reestimate your cooking time? Does a cookbook come with the oven? " S. Pritchard " <vspritchard@...> wrote: Hi Jafa: Amazon carries the Supentown turbo oven and it is $59 + $19 for shipping as it comes via an amazon partner. My one experience with Sunpentown (admittedly with a completely different piece of equipment) was horrendous, for whatever that's worth. Guest guest
Great. The one time I don't consult the group, I go out and this product which I am waiting for right now and you are telling me its crap. I'll return and get Mercola's...do you have any feedback on that one? Guest guest
Jafa: As you can read from my post to , I haven't tried out one of the turbo convection oven, just purchased on and waiting for it arrive. So, I don't know if a cookbook will come with this turbo convection oven. Yes, the convection cookbook I have shows you the conversion from conventional oven to convection oven cooking/backing and helps you adjust the times. That said, I have a regular family size built in-oven that converts to convection so I do have experience with convection cooking. It just seems a waste to heat this size of oven when our cooking requires smaller appliances. Guest guest
Alice- I think you must be mistaken. Mercola's oven is $84.95 plus S*H. His S & H charges are definitely on the high side, but not THAT high! <g> >Target's is $59 plus $9.99 S & H plus local tax. >I just got mine. >Mercola's with S & H was about $204 IIRC -
