Not surprising. The fix has been in from the beginning. I do wonder that if he does indeed end up with the mayorship if people will finally stop pretending the corruption in this regime doesn't exist and just admit the truth.

Nope. All the Democrats in Chicago are pleased as punch about the passage of the

health care bill and they'd just LOVE to have Rahm in there.

As the Democrats see it, the health care bill is the most sensible thing the

government has done in its whole history, and they can't wait to get the free

services they're entitled to, and to make the rich people pay for it.

A number of liberal groups are calling for more and more spending for the pet constituencies. These groups, like NOW, are calling for more social spending instead of jobs and such, and are trying to get more people on the dole. These are people who are putting politics far ahead of economic reality. Still, they'll maybe figure it out once all this social spending collapses the economy and there is nothing left for them plundering from the productive class.
