The NSGS site shows these quakes but their mapping makes it hard to see them all. Google Earth shows them quite plainly.

The point is, this one is a new quake. Not an aftershock. It's on the western

side of the country, not the easern side.

OK. On a similar note, a volcano in Indonesia erupted not long after the Japanese big quake. For that matter, a series of small quakes ranged throughout the American West shortly after the 7 magnitude quake the day before the big one.
