Guest guest
Notice the phrase I quoted out of the article. This is telling. Liberals don't feel beholden to Law or Tradition, especially not when those things serve to limit their power and actions. Obama wanted to bomb Libya for whatever insane reason just as he's picking a fight with Syria (and by extension Lebanon and possible Turkey and Russia). There was no justification for such an action and no defense reason for the US. Clinton did the same with the Balkans and other operations. Some might be thinking about Iraq and Afghanistan. Afghanistan was legitimate because that was where Bin Lauden was living openly and with the support of the government. It was only political interference and timidity that allowed him and his top men to escape when we could have bagged the lot and sent a hard message to all the other terrorists out there that if you strike the US, you're dead and soon. Iraq was much more specious and was not something I think should have been done. Killing Bin Lauden quickly would have put some fear into Saddam and might have made him more malleable regarding the terrorist camps in his own country. Anyway, its interesting how the politicians never seem to learn from history. They throw the military around usually without thinking the whole thing out. As for what's happening now, I rather suspect there are ulterior motives for all of it. In a message dated 6/18/2011 4:12:58 P.M. Guest guest
Yes, and we are talking about a span of only 40 years here. Perhaps hey will forget the implications of WWII which ended 67 years ago. And maybe the span will reduce itself even further to twenty years, or ten years, or five years, in which case, we'll have anarchy. Let us remember that Obama, a professed Christian, has hardly attended church since he has become President, so he doesn't have much adherence to God nor country. But we all knew that before the election didn't we, and the majority of the country thought that Obama's morals and values were in direct keeping with their own, so that is why we are in the pickle we are in, which everyone likes, evidentally, because we don't hear too many people who voted for Obama complaining about him.
