Police on the island say they had no reports of damage or injuries, AP reports. " It was a strong earthquake in a region that is in the eastern section of area known as the Aegean Arc, " a Thessaloniki professor of seismology says. " This is a very seismically active area that has seen more powerful quakes in the past. We are monitoring the post-earthquake activity, which so far is not intense. Guest guest
I posted a while back a chart showing the frequency of quakes of different intensities. Up to 200 of 6 magnitude quakes can be expected in a given year along with 20 or so 7's. In a message dated 4/2/2011 2:36:05 P.M.
