Guest guest
Hi everybody! Will someone please help me with these terms. I'm translating into English some open-ended responses of a marketing research. These responses are about drugs and different treatments and comments about Chronic myelogenous leukemia(CML). I am not sure of how to translate the following terms into English: - IFN convencional: regular IFN - comodidad (es incómoda su administración): not comfortable??/ not easy - monoquimioterapia convencional: regular monochemotherapy - respuestas completas: complete responses - Monoquimioterapia clásica: Classical monochemotherapy - perfil farmacocinético: pharmacokinetic profile -los pacientes lo aceptan mal (de un tratamiento): patients do not tolerate it Thanks for your help na Idiart Traductora Pública en Inglés
Guest guest
.... > - IFN convencional: regular IFN " Conventional " would be better (means non-high-dose interferon administration). > - comodidad (es incómoda su administración): not comfortable??/ > not easy Difficult (as we don't really know if it refers to patient comfort, complicated procedure or serious risks). If we know, it could be complicated, badly tolerated, clumsy, risky etc. > - monoquimioterapia convencional: regular monochemotherapy Conventional is the best word here (i.e. indicates use of straight cytostatics, not biologic agents etc.). Monochemotherapy is better expressed as single-agent chemotherapy. > - respuestas completas: complete responses OK > - Monoquimioterapia clásica: Classical monochemotherapy Conventional single-agent chemotherapy, as above. > > - perfil farmacocinético: pharmacokinetic profile OK > -los pacientes lo aceptan mal (de un tratamiento): patients do not > tolerate it Patient tolerance is low (usual set expression). If that was the case, there were two English terms that were " convenient administration " and " convenient dosage regimen " . Hope that still helps, Geli Angelika Spears

Hope that still helps, You're right, those are frequently found set expressions; they would apply for " ease of administration " . Also, their negative is not " inconvenient " .
