I also agree on the part about " meds works fast " to relieve symptoms. But sometimes still, sufferers and healers both think that relieving symptoms is the end of it. What about fixing the causes? I know that when I had diagnosed despression, no doctors or therapists even brought up the whole idea of serotonin income and outgo. or that it could be managed, healed, beyond the level of stopgap symptom relief. I would suggest a person try amino acids for quick relief, not meds, and then work on the underlying problem. And ITA it's pretty much impossible to find a doctor who will work with you on this.
