Guest guest
Well, since Wegmans was out of Kerrygold this time, I tried La Baratte des Gourmets. This is a traditional churned butter, with Crystal Sea Salt. It was made from pasteurized milk. It was pricy - almost $6 for the half lb. When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at the intensity of the color. It is more yellow than my last batch of Kerrygold (which was paler than usual). There are salt crystals still in the butter, resulting in a deliciously salty accent to the butter. It is not as soft as the kerrygold, but still melts almost as fast. I quite like it. However, I don't think it will be replacing my usual Kerrygold due to its price. -Lana
