Guest guest
Pensions can be very high as well. Some years ago during a fight over education funding in Alabama, it came to light that some teacher's union retirees had pensions in the six-figures. One union man had a pension of over $500,000 and he'd never taught a day in his life. There was an article recently about state college administrators who get millions per year in salary, which is overblown, but they will also get huge pensions.
