Guest guest
Hi there! Could anyone tell me the word for " Esquirlectomia " in English? I would very much appreciate it! So far, I could only found out that it's " elevacion de fragmentos de fracturas de craneo " , so it is not " craniectomy " or " craniotomy " . Any ideas? Thanks a million in advance! Guest guest
I don't know of an equivalent term in English, so I would say " removal of bone fragments " as here: << At the time of debridement the surgeon may elect to remove fragments of bone that are superficial and can be extracted without precipitating further tissue damage or bleeding. >> [ http://uscneurosurgery.com/specialty%20centers/neurotrauma/ntrc/gsw/gsw%20gu ns%20and%20bullets/gswgunsbullets.htm <http://uscneurosurgery.com/specialty%20centers/neurotrauma/ntrc/gsw/gsw%20g uns%20and%20bullets/gswgunsbullets.htm> ] there: << Open depressed skull fractures present a significant risk of infection. They are generally treated with operative irrigation, debridement, and removal of the depressed fragments. >> [ http://www.neurosurgery.org/cns/meetings/curriculum/b1.html <http://www.neurosurgery.org/cns/meetings/curriculum/b1.html> ] and... everywhere?
