Involvement of these people causes me to doubt these claims. Given the known level of fraud amongst the global warming scientists, they can't be taken seriously.

On the other hand, it is possible that more pollutants are up there because of China's rapid development and basically nonexistant environmental laws. So, rather than heap yet more laws and regulations on the US and the West, where the laws already are onerous and even destructive, focus on China and make them clean up. Add India and Russia. India and China each produced more pollution than the US in the last few years and that is only counting things like CO2 and dust. Add in mercury in the air and other deadly pollutants and China along is vastly worse than the US.
